Today, 21/10, Binaural Nodar was present at Casa Concelho Castro Daire in Lisbon, located on Rua do Vale Formoso de Cima, Marvila Parish Council, as part of the tribute meeting to Castro Daire writers organized by the Municipality of Castro Daire and the aforementioned house.
Luis Gomes da Costa, coordinator of Binaural/Nodar, presented to the large audience present the project “Da Serra para a Fábrica” (“From the Mountain to the Factory”), part of the European network “Where the city loses its name” created within the scope of the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018 (Creative Europe programme), which will document, unite and express the memories of people from Castro Daire and São Pedro do Sul who emigrated to the eastern part of Lisbon (Chinese neighbourhood, Beato, Marvila, etc.) throughout the 20th century.
Several project partners were also present, such as the project curator, the Luso-North American multimedia artist Maile Costa Colbert, Prof. Dr. Filipe Reis, coordinator of the Postgraduate Course in Digital Visual Cultures at ISCTE-IUL, the President of the Marvila Parish Council, José António Videira, the Councillor for Culture of the Municipality of Castro Daire, Dr. Pedro Pontes, and the President of Casa do Concelho de Castro Daire, Dr. Luís Esteves.
The international partners of this European network are LaFundició (Catalonia/Spain) and Fundatia Altart (Romania).
