Binaural Nodar announces that the film “Lugar Sentido: Carvalhal de Vermilhas”, directed by Cátia Rebelo and Luis Gomes da Costa and co-produced by Binaural/Nodar and Cardiff University as part of the European project Susplace, won second place in the Ethnography and Society category of the ART & TUR – International Tourism Film Festival 2018, with the award being presented to Cátia Rebelo on behalf of the authors, technicians, partners and community members who contributed to the final outcome of the film.
It is also worth highlighting the contribution of two people who made the film possible: directing assistance and audiovisual recording by Liliana Silva, and community mediation by Isabel Moita, head of the Rancho Folclórico de Carvalhal de Vermilhas, Municipality of Vouzela.
