Another project by Binaural/Nodar for the Vouzela Vila Natal (Christmas Village) organised by the Município de Vouzela, next Saturday 10/12 at 11:00 pm and on Christmas Day, 25/12 at 10:30 am.
Church and chapel bells are at once one of the most widespread and most overlooked elements of local religious heritage. “Campanologia Vouzelense” (Vouzela Campanology) is a sound performance in public space, created by Binaural/Nodar’s coordinator, Luís Costa, consisting of a composition for the bells of Vouzela’s churches, to be performed by local young people following instructions linked to the bell-ringing tradition itself and to the sound perception of the town’s urban fabric.
