THE ANCESTRAL VIBRATION OF LINEN
São Mateus Fair (Viseu)

On August 28th, Binaural Nodar was present at the São Mateus Fair, at the invitation of the Várzea de Calde Linen Museum and the Municipality of Viseu, to present some samples of the work developed on the topic of linen.

Luís Costa and Liliana Silva had the opportunity to contextualize the sound and audiovisual ethnographic investigations that began in 2016, which, over the years, have materialized in the Várzea de Calde Memory Archive, in the bilingual book and documentary “Várzea de Calde: A village woven in linen”, in the CD “Songbook of the Linen and Rural Life” and, more recently, in the collection of 20 visual and sound postcards about the linen cycle, which were on display at São Mateus Fair throughout the week.
