From August 19 to September 7, 2025, Ana Carucci developed a work in the village of Ribolhos that intertwined ceramics, sound, and material memory. The Argentine artist, based in Spain, created ceramic objects that challenged traditional categorization by suggesting utility or contradicting it and, in doing so, activated a poetic space.

The art installation “Dreamtigers” consisted of some pieces with whistles, others that explored faint and resonant sounds, approaching friction idiophones. The artist reflected on the clay of Ribolhos, which went from being a utilitarian material to a representative symbol, exploring the ways in which the rules of use of objects expand, confuse, and overlap.

The event was co-produced by Binaural Nodar, the Municipality of Castro Daire, and the Union of Parishes of Mamouros, Alva, and Ribolhos, and was part of the activities of the Tramontana Network, strengthening the dialogue between tradition and contemporaneity.

Thanks to Terracotta for supplying the clay and firing the pieces.
