The Ocupai Festival 2018 has come to an end, held on the banks of the Alfusqueiro river, at the wonderful river beach of Destriz (União de Freguesias de Destriz e Reigoso, Municipality of Oliveira de Frades).
The programme and the close-knit atmosphere could not have been more fitting to host performances from both sides of the border: União Musical Juventude e Amizade – Sobreira, Chefa Alonso, Teatro e Marionetas de Mandrágora, Somospeces≠, Grupo de Cantares, Cavaquinhos & Violas de Pinheiro de Lafões, Binaural Nodar and Núcleo de Arquitectos da Região de Viseu, Juan Inspiracións Trío (Marina Oural Villapol with Chefa Alonso, Mónica Cofiño Arena and Irene Alvarez Coto), Pandereteras Gritsanda, Erva Daninha with Binaural Nodar and the Grupo de Cantares of Rancho Folclórico de Carvalhal de Vermilhas, and closing the Festival, ArtesaCía Transmedia.
We would like to especially thank the Municipality of Oliveira de Frades, the União de Freguesias de Destriz e Reigoso and all the other local entities, for all the involvement and spirit of mutual support that made the Festival a success.
