Binaural Nodar will be present at the 3rd Meeting of the Research Group on Cultural Practices and Policies of CRIA-Network Centre for Research in Anthropology, this year integrated into the activities of the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018.
The meeting is held in partnership between the School of Social Sciences and Humanities of ISCTE-IUL, CRIA and the Foundation for Science and Technology, and will take place on the coming 22nd of November, between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm, in Room B2.01 of the ISCTE-IUL University Campus on Av. das Forças Armadas in Lisbon.
The round table in which the coordinator of Binaural/Nodar, Luis Gomes da Costa, will take part is entitled “Inventories in progress: heritage, its processes and challenges” and will run between 4:30 pm and 6:00 pm, also featuring researcher Carla Almeida from the University of Algarve and moderated by researcher Joana Lucas from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
Luís Costa’s intervention is related to the project DA SERRA PARA A FÁBRICA (FROM THE MOUNTAIN TO THE FACTORY), which investigates memories of migrations from the Beira region to the parish of Marvila throughout the 20th century, being part of the Creative Europe Project “Where the city loses its name” which brings together Binaural/Nodar itself, LaFundició (Catalonia/Spain) and Fundatia Altart (Romania), with the academic partnership of the Postgraduate course in Digital Visual Cultures at ISCTE/IUL and partnerships with the Municipality of Castro Daire, the Municipality of São Pedro do Sul, the Marvila Parish Council and Casa Concelho Castro Daire in Lisbon.
