These are times when old stories of our people lose importance in favor of other narratives of a more global nature. However, knowing and, more importantly, understanding the life behind the old legends of the people who once lived in this territory can, for example, help children and young people recover some sense of self-esteem for their homeland.
“Lendas Sonoras de Lafões” (Sound Legends of Lafões) is a recital by Binaural Nodar of selected legends from the lands of Lafões, wrapped in a contemporary sound and visual atmosphere, thus enabling new readings and appropriations of stories often lost in the mists of time.
Following this recital, a series of workshops titled “Reinventar Lendas de Lafões” (Reinventing Legends of Lafões) will be carried out with students from the EBI of Santa Cruz da Trapa (in this case, students of Prof. Paulo Fernandes) and from other basic schools in the municipalities of Vouzela and Oliveira de Frades.
