Landscape with people inside
Community Project
Last week saw the start of photography sessions coordinated by photographers from the “Landscape with people inside” project at the Vale Vouga Line Interpretation Center (former station) in Oliveira de Frades.
In the first week, the groups were accompanied by photographer José Miguel Figueirinhas, who began his intervention with a theoretical and technical approach, namely the history of photography, basic concepts such as exposure, aperture, shutter speed, and image composition.
As the participants began to explore the cameras, they had their first experiences of capturing images as they toured the village, passing through the fortnightly market, the Sports Park (where they watched the GDOF youth teams training), the historic center, the Municipal Museum, the Church of S. Pelágio, and the Volunteer Fire Department.
These sessions were attended by the Municipal Councilor, Elisa Ferraz de Oliveira, Corporals João Alves and Filipe Duarte, representing the National Republican Guard, and several municipal employees, as well as the project mentors.
The “Landscape with people inside” project was approved under the Inclusion through Culture program, through an application submitted by the municipality to CCDR Centro.
Photographic and video records by Liliana Silva and Ana Margarida Ferreira (Binaural Nodar).
Binaural Nodar is a cultural organization supported by the Portuguese Republic – Culture, Youth and Sports | Directorate-General for the Arts.
