A co-production between Binaural Nodar and the Municipality of Vouzela, with the collaboration of the Vocational School of Vouzela.
Composer Rui Lima was, for the second time, in artistic residence at the Lafões Cult Lab between March 18th and 22th, culminating in a concert for piano, voice and soundscapes entitled “o centro da assimptota” (the center of the asymptote).
Rui Lima is from Lourosa, Aveiro. He graduated in Biology from the University of Aveiro in 2017 with an integrated internship in ecotoxicology, studying the effects of herbicides and salinity on zooplankton species in estuarine waters. Alongside her degree, she studied composition. Since 2016, some original compositions have been performed sporadically, experimenting with various music and theater groups. In 2021 he obtained a Master’s degree in Music from the UA, developing his composition technique and creating a work linked to other areas, inspired by the landscapes of the moons of the solar system.
In 2022 he published his first work, The Cliff, inspired by coastal geological strata; he was a resident artist through the Self-Mistake association. She has already participated in ten Erasmus+ projects, including training courses (TC), exchanges and volunteering.
At the same time, he is a freelance musician in Devon (England).
