“O Espírito da Colmeia” (“The Spirit of the Hive”) is an audiovisual artistic installation by Manuela Barile in the form of a reflection on the symbolic universe of bees. The work stems from anthropological research in Várzea de Calde (parish of Calde, municipality of Viseu), in close collaboration with all the beekeepers of the village.

This artistic installation is part of the Viseu Rural 2.0 Project, co-financed by the Viseu Cultura programme of the Municipality of Viseu.
