Nonviolent Communication Session
Empathetic Communication in the Community Context

On November 27th, last Thursday, the first meeting was held with the entire team of the “Landscape with People Inside” project, an initiative that combines photography, culture, and social inclusion.

The session, led by Ana Luísa Saraiva (Espaço CreSer Pleno), a Nonviolent Communication facilitator, sought to create a space for reflection, learning, active listening, and empathy regarding verbal and nonverbal communication.

During this session, participants discussed topics such as “Communicating clearly,” “Listening with empathy,” and “Communicating with authenticity.” In attendance were Councilwoman Elisa Ferraz de Oliveira, members of the Municipality of Oliveira de Frades, several photographers, and project mentors.

Among the entities participating in the project are the Lafões Social Solidarity Association, Misericórdia Nossa Senhora dos Milagres, the Senior University, and the Oliveira de Frades School Group.

The “Landscape with people inside” project was approved under the Inclusion through Culture program, through an application submitted by the Municipality of Oliveira de Frades to CCDR Centro.
