Practice is Game, Game is an Emotion
Social groups develop codes of communication between members more or less spontaneously. Competitive sport is a clear example of this ‘language’ of gestures, sounds, words, and expressions, which ultimately contributes to the specificity of each project.
In this project, the artist explored the sound and expressive environment of the senior women’s futsal team at Clube Desportivo de Cinfães, culminating in a multimedia exhibition in the home team’s changing room, with four sound pieces and one audiovisual piece.
Nely Ferreira is a collaborator at Binaural Nodar and has a degree in Multimedia Technologies and Design from the School of Technology and Management of the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu. The young artist developed the creation “Practice is Game, Game is an Emotion,” based on the context of women’s futsal in the Viseu region, a sport she knows well as a player.
