THE ART OF THE CARAMULO ENCOUNTER
Artist residency
April 10th to 13th, 2025
Lafões Cult Lab (Vouzela, Portugal)

The 14th edition of the artist residency co-organized by the Master’s in Contemporary Artistic Creation at the University of Aveiro and Binaural Nodar took place in the town of Vouzela, with around twenty students developing artistic work in connection with the town’s landscape and architectural context. As in previous years, Binaural Nodar developed a soundscape workshop using different microphones, which allowed some students to incorporate sound elements into their works.

The artist residency was also part of the activities of the Tramontana Network, a project co-funded by the Creative Europe program and which relates to artistic and archival practices in rural mountain contexts in Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Romania, Albania and Poland.
