Thermal Sonic Immersion
A multimedia show by Binaural Nodar
for the Intermunicipal Community of Viseu Dão Lafões (Portugal)

Water, symbol of the totality of the world’s virtues.
Water, source and origin of all beings.
Water, essence of vegetation and principle of all healing.
Water, basis of the manifestation of the cosmos on earth.
Water, a substance that carries divine emanations.

“Miracula aquarium fontium et fluminum”
The miracles of the waters, the fountains and the rivers that the old Roman Pliny intuited were common in our Lusitanian land.
Holy water from the fountains lost in the mountains, baptismal water that washes away the sins and purifies the soul.
Calm waters that sprout from the depth of the earth to relieve body ailments.

The thermal spas of the Viseu Dão Lafões region are spaces in profound transformation in which the recent improvements made in its premises and surroundings created a set of opportunities for sensorial amplification of the experience of the spa visitors. Why not associate well-being and artistic creation? This is the challenge of Thermal Sonic Immersion, which materializes in the live creation of both immersive and specific audiovisual contexts, that is, developed from the stories and memories of the local spas.
