The territory of the Viseu Dão Lafões Intermunicipal Community encompasses a wide variety of rivers, organised into three main river basins (Douro, Vouga and Mondego), whose riverside landscapes reflect the natural and cultural dimensions of the local communities.

Launched in 2023 by the Binaural Nodar association, the project “The Rivers of the Viseu Dão Lafões Community” involved the selection and documentation of 14 rivers and streams through soundscapes, interviews and video, followed by a poetic and musical exploration in collaboration with the group Sax on the Road.

As part of the event, a book featuring photographs and poems about the selected rivers was presented, accompanied by two CDs containing the poetic-musical compositions dedicated to the 14 rivers and streams.
