Binaural Nodar is currently in the final stage of a series of ethnographic projects in the Municipality of S\u00e3o Pedro do Sul linked to the valorisation of the rural cultural heritage of some of its most emblematic villages, coordinated by Manuela Barile and to be presented to the public during the upcoming spring.<\/p>\n
Firstly, the 38-minute documentary “Bondan\u00e7a: Abund\u00e2ncia” (“Bondan\u00e7a: Abundance”) has been completed, the result of several years of research linked to the maize cycle in the village of Bondan\u00e7a, Parish of Manhouce!. This documentary will be released on DVD, which will soon be available for purchase.<\/p>\n
Secondly, two documentaries made in the village of Rompecilha, in collaboration with A.C.D. Rompecilha (Uni\u00e3o de Freguesias de S\u00e3o Martinho das Moitas e Covas do Rio), have also been completed: “Linho: Hist\u00f3rias ao longo de um fio” (“Flax: Stories along a thread”) (57 minutes) and “Mulheres ser\u00e3o” (“Women will be”) (10 minutes), both dedicated to the flax cycle in this village on the southern slope of Monte de S\u00e3o Mac\u00e1rio. A publication with accounts and images of the relationship between the village and flax is also in preparation, expected to be published at the end of spring.<\/p>\n
Thirdly, Binaural Nodar is pleased to be helping Isabel Silvestre and the Grupo As Vozes de Manhouce digitize and catalogue part of their extremely rich collection of photographs, traditional garments and adornments from the village of Manhouce.<\/p>\n
All these projects are part of R\u00e9seau Tramontana, a Creative Europe project, of which Binaural\/Nodar is currently the European lead partner and which also includes seven other cultural organizations from Spain, France, Italy and Poland.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
