Binaural Nodar announces that, in this European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018, it will be very pleased to be a co-organizing entity of SIBTUR – International Symposium on Good Practices in Tourism, taking place on the 19th of April at the Escola Profissional de Carvalhais (Parish of Carvalhais, Municipality of S\u00e3o Pedro do Sul).<\/p>\n
Binaural\/Nodar’s collaboration with SIBTUR develops mainly on three levels:<\/p>\n
a) Firstly, through the presence of the coordinator of Binaural\/Nodar, Luis Gomes da Costa, as keynote speaker and moderator of one of the symposium’s modules entitled “O patrim\u00f3nio cultural como fonte de inspira\u00e7\u00e3o para a cria\u00e7\u00e3o contempor\u00e2nea e para o desenvolvimento de pr\u00e1ticas tur\u00edsticas inovadoras” (“Cultural heritage as a source of inspiration for contemporary creation and for the development of innovative tourism practices”)<\/p>\n
b) Secondly, through the presentation of a practical project developed by Binaural\/Nodar over the last few months with the 2nd year students of the tourism technician course at the Escola Profissional de Carvalhais (coordinated by Ana Margarida Bandeira Azevedo) entitled “Mem\u00f3ria e Identidade: O papel do Museu Rural de Carvalhais na constru\u00e7\u00e3o da paisagem simb\u00f3lica da freguesia” (“Memory and Identity: The role of the Museu Rural de Carvalhais in building the symbolic landscape of the parish”), which consists of a series of collaborative multimedia artistic interventions based on ethnographic collections carried out with the students of the aforementioned course regarding various themes such as the flax cycle, traditional carpentry and joinery, the mountain’s soundscape, dance and singing traditions, etc.<\/p>\n
c) Lastly, through the role of the Creative Europe project R\u00e9seau Tramontana, which Binaural\/Nodar currently leads in fostering international relationships between innovative tourism, artistic practices and rural territories. In this regard, two invited foreign personalities will be present at SIBTUR: Silvia Pallini, from Associazione LEM-Italia, and Vidal Mart\u00ednez-Sierra from the Rural Development Group of A Mari\u00f1a (Galicia), alongside the presence of highly relevant national personalities, whose names will be announced in the coming days.<\/p>\n
