Binaural Nodar<\/a> is pleased to announce that, in partnership with Mapa sonoro de Uruguay<\/a>, it will co-organize a sound and oral tradition workshop aimed at a rural community in the north of Uruguay: Piedra Sola (department of Paysand\u00fa), whose thematic focus will be a dialogue between the traditional children’s games of the region and current forms of play.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The workshop, entitled \u201cAros y rayuelas\u201d (free translation \u201cHoops and hopscotch\u201d), will take place on the 21st of August at 2:00 pm at the Escola Rural n\u00ba 49 in Piedra Sola and will be co-led by Nilda Amaral (Nil Amar<\/a>), a facilitator of sound and musical expression workshops from the north of Uruguay, and by Luis Gomes da Costa<\/a>, coordinator of Binaural\/Nodar, a Portuguese cultural association dedicated to ethnography and contemporary sound\/media creativity in rural contexts.<\/p>\n<\/div>
