Grupo Etnogr\u00e1fico de V\u00e1rzea de Calde, are pleased to announce the launch of the CD \u201cCancioneiro do Linho e da Vida Rural de V\u00e1rzea de Cade\u201c by the Grupo Etnogr\u00e1fico de V\u00e1rzea de Calde, taking place on Wednesday, 19\/9 at 5:30 pm, at the Museu do Linho de V\u00e1rzea de Calde (Calde Parish Council, Municipality of Viseu).<\/p>\n<p>This CD was produced by Binaural\/Nodar as part of its long-standing ethnographic research, and c<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">onstitutes a finished example of the valorisation of a community&#8217;s most deeply rooted traditions, doing so in a unique way, both through the exemplary demonstration of a songbook specifically linked to one of the village&#8217;s most emblematic activities,<br \/>\nthe sowing and processing of flax fibre through to the loom, and through the range of rural songs that reflect holistic ways of articulating landscape, work and social relations of the rural world.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"text_exposed_show\">\n<p>It remains for us, on behalf of the board of Binaural Nodar, to thank the committed support of the various partners who made this publication possible: the Grupo Etnogr\u00e1fico de V\u00e1rzea de Calde, represented by its president Mr. Hermenegildo Gon\u00e7alves, the Museu do Linho de V\u00e1rzea de Calde, represented by its director Dr. Raquel Greenleaf, and the Municipality of Viseu, represented by the councillor for culture, Dr. Jorge Sobrado, for his enthusiasm in promoting the municipality&#8217;s culture and for driving the
