The coordinator of Binaural Nodar, Lu\u00eds Costa, has been invited to take part in a conversation as part of the iNTERVALOS exhibition, which will take place on April 10th, between 3pm and 6pm, at the Centro Cultural e Congressos das Caldas da Rainha.<\/p>\n

The talk is part of the exhibition of works associated with the artist residencies of ESAD Caldas da Rainha’s Master’s Degree in Sound and Image Arts, held in collaboration with the OSSO association. In addition to Lu\u00eds Costa, Jo\u00e3o Rosas, Miguel Santos, Ricardo Jacinto and Susana Duarte will be taking part in the conversation.<\/p>\n

From April 10th to 12th, the city of Caldas da Rainha will become a place to stop and be contaminated by films, directors, classics, guided tours, debates and reflections on contemporary Portuguese cinema. The aim of iNTERVALOS is clear – to create a community that is sensitive to different cinematographies and to pay homage to a filmmaker every year. In this first edition it will be Manuel Mozos.<\/p>\n

The first edition of iNTERVALOS will be a meeting place for Portuguese cinema, but also a space for debate and discussion based on the works shown. Each exhibition will thus be an extension of the cinematographic experience, through a debate open to the participation of the participants, filmmakers and the local community. The event aims to establish itself annually as a cultural landmark in Caldas da Rainha and the western region and to promote the heritage of Portuguese cinema, creation and thinking around moving images.<\/p>\n

Inspired by the idea of encounters and intervals between films, spectators and directors, the event offers a dynamic space for sharing, reflection and cinematic discovery.<\/p>\n

Over the course of three days, there will be conversations between filmmakers, critics, researchers, teachers, students and spectators. Each joint film screening will correspond to a moment of conversation and discussion.<\/p>\n

This is an initiative of the Caldas da Rainha CCC guided by the principle of collective programming in partnership with ESAD.CR, the OSSO Cultural Association and the CR Film Club, with the support of the Municipality and ICA – Instituto de Cinema e Audiovisual. The aim, says the organization, is \u201cto open up a space for sharing and discussing contemporary Portuguese cinema, to provoke encounters between several generations and the crossing of various contexts, artistic, educational, academic and scientific\u201d.<\/p>\n
