This space was curated by Marta Carvalhal, Luís Costa and Jorge Ferreira, with the close collaboration of the Saber Fazer Programme and the National Arts Plan.

The black clay of Ribolhos reached its peak during the last century through a group of masters who specialized in both utilitarian and decorative pieces which, in order to obtain their characteristic black color, were subjected to a firing process called soenga. There is currently one potter, Jorge Ferreira, born in the village and heir to the local tradition.

The event “A morning with the black clay of Ribolhos” aims to be a context of diverse conviviality, so that the participating public can join the local community to share memories, learn together and get to know the places and stories of clay black from Ribolhos.

The event is completely free. However, anyone wishing to participate in the black clay route must register for free via email at info@binauralmedia.org, so that a (free) food supplement can be provided for all participants.

Binaural Nodar is a cultural organization supported by the Portuguese Republic – Culture | Directorate-General for the Arts.

[1184

post-22001","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news-2
["GET
