FLOATING CONCERTS IN RIVERSIDE LANDSCAPES
“VoloSwing” by Le Piano du lac, with La Xata and production by Binaural Nodar<\/p>\n

The River Pavia, near Casa da Ribeira, and the V\u00e1rzea de Calde Dam, both in the municipality of Viseu, and the Destriz River Beach, in Oliveira de Frades, will be the stages for the floating show “VoloSwing”, which combines the region’s natural landscapes with jazz music. For the second year running, Le Piano du Lac’s tour of Portuguese territory is being produced by Binaural Nodar.<\/p>\n

The show, which takes place on an aquatic platform, mixes New Orleans-style music and contemporary dance and a contemporary style, inviting the public to join in this fusion of styles.<\/p>\n

The concerts will take place on the 19th (Tuesday), at 6pm, on the River Pavia; on the 22nd (Friday), at 6pm, on the V\u00e1rzea de Calde Reservoir; and on the 24th (Sunday), at 5pm, on the Destriz River Beach.<\/p>\n

“The theme of water is part of our strategy for this biennium, in which Binaural Nodar seeks to deepen its relationship with communities, its use over the centuries and issues of environmental sustainability. We believe that, through music and art, and by inviting the public to aquatic spaces, we will contribute to a greater awareness of the importance of this resource,” explains the president of Binaural Nodar, Lu\u00eds Costa.<\/p>\n

The shows are open to the whole public, with a voluntary ticket of 5 euros to support the tour.<\/p>\n

Vo\u00ebl Martin, founder of the association “La voli\u00e8re” and co-director of Le piano du lac, is a pianist, trumpeter, saxophonist, artistic director and creator. He is also a craftsman specializing in the construction of multiple nomadic pianos and the corresponding shows that have this instrument as a common element.<\/p>\n

Laurent Labejof is an atypical character and a talented percussionist. He is also a singer and dancer. His distant origins remain a mystery, but we can imagine him as a cook in a tavern on the edge of the Amazon, as a percussionist on a steamship off the Caribbean coast or as a singer in a gospel choir.<\/p>\n

M\u00f3nica Cofino lives from her passion for dance and the artistic manifestations she creates and produces. Very involved in her Asturian territory, she doesn’t hesitate to invent and create forms that shake up the spectator, ask questions and challenge.<\/p>\n
