Its fundamental target population is young people and local communities in the Viseu region, one that was particularly affected by the fires of 2017.<\/p>\n<p>ForestFM is a project funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology, coordinated by ISPUP \u2013 Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto, developed in partnership with the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto, the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu and Radio Jornal do Centro, a local radio station based in Viseu.<\/p>\n<p>The project includes a series of activities, from a survey of local youth\u2019s perception of fire risk, through an analysis of the media coverage of fires, to the production of a participatory radio program aimed at communities in regions affected by extreme events.
