Vouzela as the arrival point for two Madeiran artists who settled there and ended up meeting, Liliana Silva in the area of \u200b\u200bvideo creation and Dolores Sp\u00ednola in the area of \u200b\u200bmusic, one coming from the south of the island of Madeira and the other coming from the north.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In this joint musical and audiovisual project, the image takes us on a journey that explores the different senses, through deep-rooted memories, as well as drawing a parallel of chromatic similarities and differences, textures and flavors, between the place of departure and the place of arrival. .<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The guitar is present together with some traditional instruments from the island of Madeira, in a very different way than expected, as they are instruments usually associated with \u201cbailinho\u201d (folk music), and in this project, they convey the different moments of life that can arise when we decide to leave our \u201ccradle\u201d towards the unknown, leading to an adaptation to a new reality that never forgets its roots.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Dolores Sp\u00ednola was born in 1981, being born in Santana (Madeira).\u00a0In 1992 she began learning classical guitar at the Conservat\u00f3rio-Escola Profissional das Artes da Madeira and, later, in 1999, she started as a teacher at the same conservatory.\u00a0In 1995 she began learning alto saxophone at the Banda Municipal de Santana where she would become a performer, monitor and conductor (having been the first female conductor in Madeira).\u00a0In 2004 she came to the mainland, Lisbon, where over the years she was a Musical Education teacher, guitar teacher, having played saxophone in the Charneca Musical and Artistic Band.\u00a0In 2019 she moved to Vouzela and occasionally collaborated with Banda Verdi Cambrense.\u00a0At the moment she teaches Music Education, guitar and is part of the projects Sax On The Road and A cor d’art.<\/p>\n

Liliana Silva is born in Santo Ant\u00f3nio, Funchal.\u00a0In 2014, she completed her degree in Fine Arts, Multimedia Branch at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto.\u00a0That same year, he entered the Master’s Degree in Multimedia Communication, Interactive Multimedia Branch at the University of Aveiro, which he would complete in 2016. Since August 2017, he has been responsible for the communication and multimedia areas at Binaural Nodar, having developed intense activity in area of \u200b\u200bgraphic design, editorial graphics, video recording and editing, design and assembly of exhibitions, etc.\u00a0She made the documentaries \u201c\u00c0 eira: o rye que resista em Campia\u201d (2020) and \u201cTemplo erguido: a Hist\u00f3ria da Igreja Nova de S\u00e3o Miguel do Mato\u201d (2022).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>
