SALGADA<\/b><br \/>\nA creation of Lu\u00eds Costa and Ana Rodr\u00edguez<\/p>\n<p>A Binaural Nodar and Amane\u00ef Salina co-production, in collaboration with the Municipality of Castro Daire, the Municipality of Santa Marina di Salina, the Associazione Villa Lucia and Mapa Sonoro de Uruguay.<\/p>\n<p>In the context of three artistic residencies held in September and October 2023, Lu\u00eds Costa and Ana Rodr\u00edguez created an audiovisual work that relates the uses of water in three regions of the Atlantic and Mediterranean space: riverside villages in the municipality of Castro Daire in Portugal, the locality of Rinc\u00f3n de Paiva, located in the northeast of Uruguay (next to the border with Brazil) and the island of Salina, part of the Aeolian islands archipelago, in the Italian region of Sicily.<\/p>\n<p>What \u201csoul of the place\u201d does a village bathed by a river or an island surrounded by sea have?\u00a0How does the presence of water influence the worldview of its inhabitants?\u00a0How has the relationship between places and water and its uses changed over the decades?\u00a0What words are used to mention this relationship, in its various domains (geographical lexicon, artisanal fishing, toponymy, architectural forms, stories, etc.)?<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"VIpgJd-yAWNEb-VIpgJd-fmcmS-sn54Q\">The audiovisual piece \u201c\u00c1gua Doce, \u00c1gua Sal\u201d was structured in the form of a spatio-temporal line, organized into three narrative blocks, corresponding to each of the places of investigation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Thanks:<\/p>\n<p>Santa
