Born in Lisbon, Filipe Baptista began his activity and artistic career as a dancer in 2008 through urban dance. In 2011, he began his training in contemporary dance and performance, which spawned collaborations with David Zambrano, Peter Michael Dietz, Jonathan Burrows, among others. He has also collaborated on creations by Madalena Victorino, Malavoadora, Kwenda Lima, Companhia de Dan\u00e7a Am\u00e1lgama, M\u00e1rio Coelho and Pedro Baptista. Filipe Baptista created the solo dance show \u201cBetween a Rock and a Hard Place\u201d presented at the IX Festival Internacional de Solos de Dan\u00e7a (Malaposta). Additionally, he has already cooperated with M\u00e1rio Coelho, assisting at a creative and movement support level, in the play \u201c\u00c9 D\u00edf\u00edcil Para Mim Dan\u00e7ar!\u201d. Furthermore, Baptista is the author of the video-installation\/project \u201cZ\u00c9NITE: Quadros de um grande Jogo Po\u00e9tico\u201d, which opened at the Festival A Salto 2020, in Elvas. Additionally, in 2021, he was invited (as creator) to the curated collective project \u201cAll Tomorrow’s Parties of the Silly Season\u201d, where he created and presented the performance “ATMA 0.7”.
