Durations: Paiva River The project involved the study of the river contour. The artist used his study of this encounter to guide an investigation of expressive results, using piezo-electric contact microphones to record the inscription sound and shot gun microphones to capture the local environment. When walking along the river’s contour, Craig Dongoski acted in the same functional way as the drawing, that is, tracing a contour in a precise and direct way. Drawings are initially based on contours.Through the processof repeated interpretations, the work begins to produce layers (literally and metaphorically). The organic approach to drawing is meant to reflexively embrace the time found within the geological domain. The project was established to study gesture and the role of expansive drawing. The use of audio and video technologies within the design domain is what makes this extension relevant. This motivates an investigation of the experience embodied in a ground scenario, conditioned by the structure in the form of a geological \/ geographic body.
