{"id":18153,"date":"2023-06-16T10:11:45","date_gmt":"2023-06-16T10:11:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.binauralmedia.org\/news?post_type=avada_portfolio&#038;p=18153"},"modified":"2023-07-04T09:34:03","modified_gmt":"2023-07-04T09:34:03","slug":"xesus-valle","status":"publish","type":"avada_portfolio","link":"https:\/\/www.binauralmedia.org\/news\/en\/arquivo\/portfolio-items\/xesus-valle","title":{"rendered":"Xes\u00fas Valle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><div class=\"fusion-fullwidth fullwidth-box fusion-builder-row-1 fusion-flex-container nonhundred-percent-fullwidth non-hundred-percent-height-scrolling\" style=\"--awb-border-radius-top-left:0px;--awb-border-radius-top-right:0px;--awb-border-radius-bottom-right:0px;--awb-border-radius-bottom-left:0px;--awb-flex-wrap:wrap;\" ><div class=\"fusion-builder-row fusion-row fusion-flex-align-items-flex-start fusion-flex-content-wrap\" style=\"max-width:1144px;margin-left: calc(-4% \/ 2 );margin-right: calc(-4% \/ 2 );\"><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-0 fusion_builder_column_1_1 1_1 fusion-flex-column\" style=\"--awb-bg-size:cover;--awb-width-large:100%;--awb-margin-top-large:0px;--awb-spacing-right-large:1.92%;--awb-margin-bottom-large:0px;--awb-spacing-left-large:1.92%;--awb-width-medium:100%;--awb-spacing-right-medium:1.92%;--awb-spacing-left-medium:1.92%;--awb-width-small:100%;--awb-spacing-right-small:1.92%;--awb-spacing-left-small:1.92%;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper fusion-flex-justify-content-flex-start fusion-content-layout-column\"><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-1\"><div>\n<p><strong>Dialogos tactiles<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The project I present is mostly based on the interaction between the artist and the landscape of Nodar, beyond a simple field recording in which the artist acts as a mere spectator.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Within this perspective,I started to develop a set of \u201cdialogues with the landscape\u201d, not just \u201con the landscape\u201d, recording all kinds of sounds created by physical contact (percussive) with different types of vegetation(trees, bushes, plants) and ground (soil, stones, water), and additionally taking other alien elements also present in the landscape (such as objects left by the local inhabitants).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>I created several improvised rhythms and structures (coming together from that encounter) that where used as the source material for a later digital process.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Each action arose from the natural attraction between my photographic approach and the textures of each element on the landscape (I later did a dossier with the photos I took on my first recognitions), bearing in mind the ability to generate sound from each element, as well as it\u2019s plasticity.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Once the sound actions were made with the selected elements, I had the intent of taking the result out of the context, manipulating it digitally inorder to get the desired musicality.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>A third part of the project was made of video actions based on the previousactions and recordings.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Xes\u00fas Valle was born in Vigo and is an audio &amp; visual artist, percussionist, vocalist and Net DJ. Hestarted by studied persussion and vocal techniques and since the late 80\u2019s formed several bands and personal projects.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Since 2002 Xes\u00fas develops two different audio projects, Plumbandplumber and Uveaele. With plumbandplumber he dedicates to the creation of electro acoustic collages from all sorts of sound sources (discography: \u201cCome early go late\u201d, \u201corganic feedback\u201d and \u201clive set alga \u00e1 superficie\u201d) and with Uveaele he manipulates sound spaces (discography: \u201co forno das formulaci\u00f3ns\u201d). Part of his discography is published under \u201calg-a netlabel\u201d, of which he was one of the managers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Since 2002 Xes\u00fas has been performing in different spaces of Galicia and Portugal (IFI\u2013Pontevedra, Salanasa\u2013Santiago de Compostela, Vademecum\u2013Vigo, Sinsalaudio\u2013Vigo, 2005 Brg\u2013Braga, etc.).
