06 Davide Tidoni: Col Cuore

On the 26th of May 2010, anticipating the last match of the season, football supporters’ group Brescia 1911 met for cheering the team up. About two hundred people occupied the terraces of the training pitch where the northern Italian team of Brescia was getting ready for the final match. The field recording “Col Cuore” documents the sonic behaviour and the performative nature of the supporters group Brescia 1911.

Artist’s Biography:

Davide Tidoni is a sound-space researcher and sound creative. He has been researching about football supporter subculture since 2002. His sound-ethnography research has been presented in multiple formats at a variety of academic and artistic venues such as: Mondiali Antirazzisti, Bologna 2008; Sounding Out, University of Sunderland 2008; The Buffer Zone, American Academy in Rome 2009; The Same Moment, Raum, Bologna 2009; School of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Exeter 2009.
