Oscar de Paz | Spain

Born in León, Spain, Oscar de Paz has a degree in fine arts with a specialization on sculpture awarded by the University of Salamanca.

He was the creator, artistic director and scenographer of "La Danaus", a street theatre company of León and scenographer of other theatre, dance and circus companies. He has also been a teacher of photography and image at the School of Arts of León, director of the courses of photography organized by the Province of León and teacher of drawing and painting in the Course of Contemporary Art of León, besides teaching painting to children during summer courses organized by the Municipality of León. Oscar also directed courses on other disciplines such as forging, wood engraving, painting and sculpture. He maintains a parallel trajectory as a visual artist with innumerous exhibitions of photography, painting and installations, and also as project and work director in sculptures of other fellow artists.

"DiNAmo" is an installation project that uses the resources and geographic characteristics of a place and it’s identity.

In this case the place was the River Paiva, close to Nodar.

We proposed the development of an installation that used the river as energy source and that simultaneously generates content from it.

A Dinamo that supplied the installation with electric power was constructed. The installation was based in light and sound.
